How do I know if I'm the right candidate for a procedure?
You should be an adult in good general health, preferably a non-smoker. Patients undergoing any procedure should have realistic expectations for the results after surgery and be ready to maintain a healthy lifestyle and follow the medical team’s instructions for recovery and beyond.
How do you ensure the safety of your patients?
The health and well-being of our patients is our highest priority. Therefore, our facilities are fully accredited by the AAAHC, an independent, not-for-profit organization, that has closely examined our facilities, systems, policies, and procedures. This level of certification means we have demonstrated the highest level of care and safety in meeting or exceeding all state and federal guidelines. We passionately believe that you deserve the highest quality of health care. Seeking the highest levels of independent accreditation is one more way that we put our patients first. Your safety and complete satisfaction are our top priorities.
What are the risks?
With any type of surgery, there is the possibility of complications. Although uncommon, risks may include a reaction to medications, blood clotting, infection, or fluid accumulation. Some procedures have the potential side effects of temporary soreness, bruising, swelling, numbness of the skin, or discomfort at the incision sites. Your doctor will give you specific post-operative care and medication instructions to reduce pain and the risk of infection. However, every procedure is as unique as each patient’s goals and needs. We encourage you to take advantage of our free consultation opportunity to discuss your goals, ask questions, and allow our team to advise you on the best options and to ensure you are ready for the appropriate cosmetic procedure.
Can I drive myself home after a procedure?
Unless it is clearly a non-surgical procedure, for your own safety and comfort we do not allow our patients to drive themselves home afterwards. We require that you have a responsible adult accompany you after your procedure and stay with you for the following 24 hours. This additional support also ensures that you have the information you need readily available after your procedure to provide for your comfort and well-being.
What is the recovery period?
The recovery period varies from person to person and the procedure(s) performed. Our staff will be able to answer your questions about recovery and returning to normal activities once they determine the procedure(s) necessary to accomplish your unique goals. Your doctor and his staff will follow up with you regularly after your procedure to ensure you are healing well and achieving the best results possible.
What can I expect during my recovery?
Your doctor will provide information about the timeline and activity level for your recovery period. Recovery recommendations may include wearing a compression garment, avoiding carrying or lifting heavy objects, and medication. You can also expect temporary limitation in your range of movement. Our medical staff will discuss all precautions with you in detail before your procedure, including how to take proper care of your incisions to minimize the chance of infection. Your doctor and his staff will follow up with you regularly after your procedure to ensure you are healing well and achieving the best results possible.
