Men’s Cosmetic Surgery is On the Rise

Aug 20, 2021

Lexington Plastic Surgeons has been busy with an unprecedented influx of men requesting plastic surgery while they are still working from home.

“We are surprised by the 100% uptick in men calling for eyelid rejuvenation (Blepharoplasty), Nose (rhinoplasty), and Liposuction,” shared Dr. Michael Jones, founder, and lead surgeon at Lexington Plastic Surgeons. “I laughed when a client first explained that these procedures won’t affect your ability attend your Zoom meetings, just move the computer out and put on dark glasses.”

Maybe that explains why so many men are turning to plastic surgery to fine tune, redesign, or youthen their Zoom and selfie presence.

Statistics* show that the number of surgeries went down from 2019 into 2020 which can be attributed to the spread of Covid 19. Since January, LPS has seen a 100% increase in surgeries of eyes, nose, and liposuction for men.

“Our women’s numbers are growing daily across our offices, but it is the men’s numbers that are surprising us,” enthuses Dr. Jones. “This has also been a busy time for the removal of keloids because the healing can be done while work goes on.”

LPS performs weekly surgeries on men and women using different procedures due to the difference in tissue density, while using the same clean, meticulous, aesthetic for which they are known.
